Navi Mumbai International Airport will be a new greenfield airport for Mumbai to take advantage of the massive passenger growth opportunity in India .  Phase 1 delivers 20 mppa mixed domestic/international.  NMIA ultimate will have 70 mppa capacity.

 

Responsible for the strategy, planning, design, commercial selection process and implementation of all retail, f&b, digital, lounges, advertising, promotions, sponsorship and flexible commercial spaces.  Integrating commercial spaces with the aviation operational requirements to ensure a seamless and stress free experience for passengers.

 

The role covered:

  • Determining the amount of commercial space required in each part of the terminal - Terminal 1 will deliver 11,500 sq m shopping and dining across 90 units, with 4,700 sq m CIP lounges.

  • Planning and implementing effective commercial layouts - single flow of passengers past all the shops and restaurants, with a spectacular commercial environment and open, inviting store frontages.  Comfortable passenger dwell areas are key to the layouts.

  • Detailed merchandise/tenant mix - based on detailed global airport and India retail market analysis and consumer research

  • International commercial selection process to source commercial Business Partners - developed Request for Qualification and Proposal documents, strategy and process for ensuring the highest quality operators
